Scammers
Ive had my share of encounters with scammers. When I was younger and didn’t really understand how these things worked, my instagram account was hacked. Someone took over a friends account and messaged me asking for help. They sent me a link, and without even thinking, I clicked on it. That one mistake gave them access to my entire Instagram, and I eventually had to create a new account. Every now and then I look at the old one, and all they post about is bitcoin and other scam stuff. Im pretty sure they stole my account just to promote their scams to more people. Now I’m much more cautious about clicking random links, and I realize these kinds of things happen to a lot of people.

Max – appreciate this reminder. So often we become complacent and forget that the motives of others online aren’t always well intended. Thank you for sharing.

    • You bring up a great point about how you never know what the motives of others online are. Very well said because you never know who’s behind the screen

  2. I’ve know countless people who’ve had their instagram hacked it’s crazy how easy it is. This is a great reminder that you really have to be careful with random messages.

  3. I’ve seen this scam before, I’m glad people are being made aware of this
